Oh my, people seem to be very obsessed with "freedom of choice" and "freedom of expression" nowadays.
Two states recently attempted to encourage helmet usage, but they ended in different results. On one hand, Rep. Ronda Rudd Menlove of Utah successfully sponsored a bill that will reduce traffic violation fines of motorcyclists if they wear a helmet. Sounds good, eh? On the other, Arkansas lawmakers voted against a bill requiring riders to wear a helmet or at least have a $10,000 medical insurance, saying that this will take away people's freedom.
